A Call to Action: Community Agenda for Social Assistance Adequacy and
From October to December of 2017, a province-wide group of community members and organizations mobilized to re-imagine what a true "transformation" of social assistance would look like in Nova Scotia. Our Community Agenda for Social Assistance Adequacy and Reform makes it clear to the government of Nova Scotia that its consultation over the past (two years?) was not collaborative.
We want the government to work in collaboration with people who receive social assistance, and their allies, on the upcoming changes to the system. The is an urgent call to action for progressive change in Nova Scotia. Below is the process that we want to see going forward.
